Brittney Carter drops the audio from her viral videos “Far From Here Freestyle” and “Test The Water”. You know just the usual amazing dopeness from Brittney Carter that touches my soul and keeps me smiling from ear to ear everytime I hear her spit. There isn’t another hip hop artist like her and I love her ability to showcase extreme levels of confidence on the mic while sharing vulnerability about her life and mindsets. Brittney Carter to me is one of the best MCs out, I feel like we are witnessing (as she has stated previously) a Legend In The Making. Remember her name, It’s Carter!!!

Brittney Carter releases her first official video “Breakthrough” that was done by Miguel Visuals. The song was produced by Loop Theory producers Heir Porter & Disrupt and actually is apart of a 2 song set with another song called “Hooligan” also produced by the duo. The Chicago MC delivers a smooth intro that dives into self reflection in a singing style then transfers in more rapid flow highlighted by some of my favorite bars in this song:
“… Every time I spit it’s like a lil piece of heaven / better phone a bishop, better call a reverend / u can not contain my fire, not your average writer / All my verses golden, All my bars are higher / I am not for hire, not impressed by prices / You ain’t got to like me, know my God providing / I’m a keep on shining, I’m a reign in Zion … ”
Brittney Carter’s ability to show confidence sharing inner thoughts, being vulnerable, painting pictures of relationships and perceptions from society while maintaining lyrical prowness as an Emcee is second to none, her distinct flows brings the listener in for an in-depth ride along on the whimsical production by Disrupt and Heir Porter.
“Breakthrough” is an important record for her in my opinion because it signifies what I think her 2019 will be about in the industry, breaking thru to become a household name. I am really excited about Brittney Carter and if you love a hip-hop artist with uplifting content, flows, creativity & all out skills then it’s a great chance that you will be excited for this new voice in hip hop that is Brittney Carter.

I would like to introduce you to Hip Hop artist Brittney Carter from Chicago. Last Saturday she won the T.D.E. contest to open up for Jay Rock and Reason on The Big Redemption Tour stop in Chicago and performed on that Sunday.
During her set at that show she performed her newest release “Paper Crowns” Prod. By @Mike Jones
On “Paper Crowns” Brittney shares that she is standing solid on her path during this journey in the music business with lines like:
” … can’t take my soul/no demon can replicate and no darkness can penetrate/I been/set apart for a reason, I’m bout to sprout it’s my season/I took a different route, it took awhile I’m in here now … “
I feel that she is poised to be a major force in the music business. In a capsule to me she is a powerful lyricist on tracks with heartfelt & thought provoking content that is woven with effortless and various flows and textures. It’s a beautiful combination she offers as an artist.
Brittney is currently working on her debut EP and I’m looking forward to seeing her career flourish. Brittney Carter is a name in Hip Hop to remember!!!

Dre Izaya is back with his lastest #blueSUNDAY series release “O.D.” Produced by himself & co-produced by the talented Just Disrupt
Dre Izaya, is extremely clever with his content, he flows effortlessly on tracks and as I continue to surf his catalog, he continues to impress as an MC as one my new favorites.
Dre knows he’s destined for greatness with lines like this: ” … me I been I patiently waiting for a time like this/your fans ain’t gotta like it but mines like this/who gotta mind like this/I can name a few but they only greats/that’s why I rhyme like this/you can’t even top my worse work/so stop cryin bouta list/punchlines ain’t punchin thru/u gona have to put iron on ur fist… ”
I am truly excited to see this young mc’s progression and career take off, I feel strong to say that he will be a major artist sooner than later. Dre Izaya is a name to remember!!!
On my journey to continue to know who Brittney Carter is as an artist, I came across this gem that dropped a lil over a year ago by Bishop K.I.D.D. called “Voyage” which she is featured on and as Brittney states on her soundcloud page that this song is “a homage to the greats before us, the music, words and melodies that will forever remain with us.” Voyage takes you into the mind of two artists who show their appreciation for Hip Hop artists before them and they skillfully deliver their gratitude.
Dre Izaya is 17yrs old and hails from Chicago, he has created a plan of dropping songs at the beginning of the week on what he calls #blueSUNDAY. Dre delivers impeccable flows and flawless performances in his verses with the ability to drop layers of knowledge and share the perspective of a teenager with a conscious and superior confidence as an MC. This song “Legit” was one of the recent offerings and is self produced. “Legit” is a display of lyrical ability of a hungry MC with bars that are driven by self awareness, his environment and he lets the world know what he feels, that he is one of the top 5 MCs in Hip Hop. I can definitely see why he feels that way by just listening to these songs from this teenager with this much versatility, content and showcasing his pure love for hip hop as an MC and not following the model of what’s trendy as a rapper in this current climate. Stay tuned and keep Dre Izaya on your mental because I got a great feeling, he’ll be on a major level sooner than later. Dre Izaya definitely gets my co-sign, even though he doesn’t need it from anyone as he states: “… I don’t need no validation, b**** I know I’m Legit … “
