Brittney Carter releases her first official video “Breakthrough” that was done by Miguel Visuals. The song was produced by Loop Theory producers Heir Porter & Disrupt and actually is apart of a 2 song set with another song called “Hooligan” also produced by the duo. The Chicago MC delivers a smooth intro that dives into self reflection in a singing style then transfers in more rapid flow highlighted by some of my favorite bars in this song:
“… Every time I spit it’s like a lil piece of heaven / better phone a bishop, better call a reverend / u can not contain my fire, not your average writer / All my verses golden, All my bars are higher / I am not for hire, not impressed by prices / You ain’t got to like me, know my God providing / I’m a keep on shining, I’m a reign in Zion … ”
Brittney Carter’s ability to show confidence sharing inner thoughts, being vulnerable, painting pictures of relationships and perceptions from society while maintaining lyrical prowness as an Emcee is second to none, her distinct flows brings the listener in for an in-depth ride along on the whimsical production by Disrupt and Heir Porter.
“Breakthrough” is an important record for her in my opinion because it signifies what I think her 2019 will be about in the industry, breaking thru to become a household name. I am really excited about Brittney Carter and if you love a hip-hop artist with uplifting content, flows, creativity & all out skills then it’s a great chance that you will be excited for this new voice in hip hop that is Brittney Carter.

Audrey Jackson recently performed at Homemadesoul Music‘s ‘Girls Night Out’ show during the East Coast Music Conference and she rocked the stage with a set that was soulful and energetic!!! Audrey is steady building a name for herself in the music business with countless performances on the East Coast, strong songs, amazing vocals that touch your soul and resilent work ethic. Her, It’s All Music The Movement Team that she is apart of headed by Music Executive Faihym Felder is positioning her to have a breakout year!!! This song “Intoxicated” is from her EP Love Triangle that was released last fall. Audrey creates a feel good song to vibe with after a long day at work and having some drinks with her girls and enjoying the vibes!!! Philly should be proud of this blossoming star and I’m confident Audrey will keep that string of impactful R&B artists coming out of the city alive!!! – Zech Wilson
Rap Kidd E is a 9 year old hip hop artist from Norfolk, Va. I just found out about him during the East Coast Music Conference from DJ Nakylla this past weekend. I can appreciate his ability to touch on various topics from Being all you can be in life to stopping gun violence. Rashon drops a visual to his title track off of his ‘More Than Music’ EP, which is an ode to the lyrics of the names of love songs written by Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, and other Jazz greats. I will be adding this song to my playlist of love songs, Rashon does a great job of delivering passion and expressing vulnerability on this track. Currently, he and his band are preparing to tour this summer so find out more about him here:
